Point of Origin: Near the end of Resident Evil 1, just moments after being shot at point blank range by Wesker.
Appearance: Standing small but proud
Background: The rookie medic of STARS Bravo
Personality:First and foremost, Rebecca Chambers is intelligent and thoughtful. She graduated university at the age of 18 with an expertise is chemistry and medicine. She is capable of understanding advanced equations and is highly adept at medicine both in theory and in practice. It is this expertise that gets her recruited into the Raccoon City STARS Bravo team as the medic right out of college.
Despite all of her intelligence Rebecca is very inexperienced. She’s sent on her first and fateful mission not long after joining the team. She’s very nervous both around her teammates and in the field. Because of this she makes a lot of mistakes, from falling into holes to hesitating and letting the convict she was sent to find escape.
As she is the smallest and weakest of the team, she can’t rely on her strength for her survival. Even the recoil of a rifle is too much for her small frame and knocks her back a few inches when she fires. Instead she has to depend on her wits to solve problems, as well as on other people to lend her a hand or a shoulder.
When faced with uncertain, and often terrifying events, she approaches slowly and carefully, trying to take in every detail before reacting. At the start of the disaster, when she’s first thrown into the chaos of zombie slugs and runaway trains, she’s easily scared, usually screaming and freezing on the spot, not having the time to think she’s accustomed to. But as the adventure progresses, she grows to be more at ease with the situation and is able to think through and make calm decisions.
Being so young and so green she easily comes off as naïve, always wanting to see the best in people and never giving up. This quickly becomes one of her strengths making her both loyal to the people she trusts and willing to push herself harder even when the situation seems impossible.
She can be slow to trust at first, being uncertain and nervous about what’s right and wrong, but once she puts her trust in someone she is completely loyal to them. She puts her career on the line and disobeys a direct command in order to rescue the convict, Billy Coen who was actually innocent of the crime he had been charged with, and then sets him free, taking his dog tags so that he can start a new life.
When she’ll arrive will be moments after being shot by her commanding officer, someone she trusted implicitly despite hints and whispers of his duplicity. Her trust will have been shattered completely and her confidence shaken. She’ll also be even more scared than usual and more than a little bruised. Even wearing a bulletproof vest doesn’t help much with the impact damage when fired at close range.
Skills/Powers: Rebecca has no superhuman abilities but she is a prodigy genius, having graduated university at the age of 18 with degrees in both chemistry and medicine. She is incredibly skilled as a medic, despite her age and inexperienced, able to make a cure-all medicine from herbs found in random places. She has also been trained with handguns and rifles along with hand-to-hand combat, although she isn’t quite as skilled as her more experienced teammates.
Gear: A special STARS issued handgun known as the Samurai Edge, her beloved medical kit which contains basic supplies including gauze, antiseptic, bandages, needle and thread, all the usual odds and ends plus a few oddities from the Resident Evil universe: a can of med spray, green and red herbs for making medicine and a small packet of the seeds. She also has Marine Lieutenant Billy Coen’s dog tags and the bulletproof vest that saved her although it is slightly dented in one spot now.
Why do you want to play this character in this particular setting? Rebecca is no stranger to surviving and fighting monsters but she’s never had to strike out on her own without the orders of a superior officer so the game will give her a chance to grow more. Plus it will give her a chance to practice her medical skills more.

The video sits haphazardly as if set on a counter and forgotten about. Rebecca crouches on the floor with her back to the camera, hunched over a line of makeshift pots, glass jars, broken cups, and the like, carefully tending to small sprouts that have pushed their way through the coarse soil. Light filters in from dirty windows and mysterious bullet holes in the wall. She makes quick notes on a pad of paper as she checks the growth of each plant. When satisfied with her findings she wipes a hand across her forehead, leaving a muddy smudge. She turns around and suddenly seems to remember that the camera is on. She picks it up and mutters softly under her breath] Oh good, it’s finally finished loading the updates! I swear this thing has been slow lately.
[Her tone becomes clearer and more chipper as she speaks directly to the camera.] Hello everyone! This is Officer Rebecca Chambers, medic of the STARS Bravo team. I’ve noticed that medical attention can be hard to come by here so I thought I’d start a small clinic. I’d like it to eventually be a free clinic but at the moment I still need payment of some kind. Most importantly, I need more basic medical supplies. This includes clean cloth for bandages, clean water, any sort of medicines, isopropyl alcohol, surgical thread and ….I can’t believe I’m saying this… and if there’s anyone out there that can make plants grow faster, I could really use your help. I had some seeds with me for growing the herbs that are bizarrely effective in healing but it looks like they might take awhile to grow naturally and I don’t have time to wait.
